Vampire Bat

The vampire bat is like Dracula.  They both drink blood.  All day, this little animal hangs upside down from the top of a cave or other dark place.  he seems harmless.  His tiny body is only about three inches long.  But then the sun sets.  Slowly the vampire bat bagins to wake up.  He opens his big wings - 15 inches from tip to tip.  Like Dracula, he is hungry for blood.  But unlike Dracula, the vampire bat is real.  He flies into the night.  He is looking for a victim.  It may be a person or an animal.  When the bat lands, he does it very softly.  His victim does not wake up.  Then he bites his victim and drinks the warm blood.  He is full after only an ounce or so,  After dinner, he flies back to his cave.  There he sleeps and waits for the sun to set once more.
